Dr. Saroj Kumar Sahu

Dr. Saroj Kumar Sahu (born in 1978) obtained M.Phil. in Oceanography (Remote Sensing), Berhampur University, India and Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Space Sciences, University of Pune, India. He was a Post-Doctoral Scientist at Forschungszentrum Julich, Germany for 3 years and at National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan for 2 years. Currently works as Assistant Professor at Utkal University, Odisha, India. He has a vast experience in field of Atmospheric Chemistry and Environment management. His area of research involves National GHGs Emission Inventory, Urban Air Quality & Public Health, Ambient Air Quality Monitoring, Climate change, CTM, Policy Assessment & Mitigation Strategy.  He also had been in the 28th Indian Expedition to Antarctica during 2008-09 to understand the “Behaviors of ozone and its precursors in Marine and polar Boundary layer”. He has been one of the lead contributor in development of emission inventory to support air quality forecasting during CWG-2010 & measurement of air quality using AQMS network established in Delhi. Also has remained the project coordinator and lead contributor in initiating SAFAR- Delhi Emission campaign to develop high resolution Emission Inventory for 2010, 2018 to understand Air quality followed by similar research over other megacities like Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad. He has published around 40 papers in national and international journals and 35 papers in national and international conferences. He also has contributed as lead authors in 4 Scientific Reports & 2 Books.
