Prof. B. Srimuruganandam is currently working as an Associate Professor in Department of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering at School of Civil Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. Also serving as one of a Member (Technical Expert) for National Clean Air Programme, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and a Smart City Advisory Forum Committee Member (Technical Expert) for Vellore Smart City Project to the Tamil Nadu Government. He also served as a District Level Expert Appraisal Committee Member (Environmental Clearance) for Vellore District to the Tamil Nadu Government between 2017-19. Further he extends his service as reviewer for DST-SERB and many of the refereed Journals. He completed his undergraduate (B.Tech-Civil Engineering) with University Gold Medal and post-graduation (M.Tech-Environmental Engineering) with distinction from Pondicherry University, Pudhucherry. Further he finished his doctorate (PhD-Environmental Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India with GE-Ecomagination Excellence Award. His research interests span urban to global, expands from air quality to human health/climate change and covers retrospective and forecasting applications. He has published more than 70 research publications in international and national refereed journals and conferences.​
