Dr. Jithin Jose

Dr. Jithin Jose is currently working as a post-doctoral researcher in the Environmental and Water Resources Engineering group, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai, India. He did his B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Marian Engineering College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He completed his Master's in Energy and Environmental Engineering and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore. During his Ph.D. tenure, he also worked as a Junior Assistant Professor and as a Senior Research Fellow in a DST-SERB-funded project at the School of Civil Engineering, VIT-Vellore. He has published eleven research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has also attended six international conferences and scored the best research paper awards in three. His doctoral research was on “Characterization, Source Apportionment, Dispersion Modeling and Health Risk Assessment of Resuspended Road Dust in an Urban Environment''. His research interests focus largely on studies related to road dust, source apportionment, dispersion modeling, chemical and physical characterization of air pollutants and health risk assessment.
