Abstract

TOWARDS IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTION PLANS

NCAP has conducted a source apportionment exercise for the 130+ cities in the country.  Most studies have now been completed or are nearing completion.  The action plans being recommended from the findings of these studies are sector-specific, and the agencies accountable for implementation of control at the level of the source, require support from academic and research institutes. The National Knowledge Network (NKN) was established under NCAP for this very purpose, and needs to be activated for delivering on the recommendations
